David Grossman : Travel Writer

From 2002 to 2011, David Grossman wrote about business travel and the airline industry for a variety of consumer and travel industry publications including an online column for USA Today. David began his career as a librarian and information specialist for a Chicago-based chemical company. From there, David transitioned into the business world, managing projects to build databases and online searching software for publishers and airlines. Most notably, David helped several international airlines create products to empower travelers to book flights, car rentals and hotels and manage their frequent traveler accounts via the Internet. In 2005, David returned to the library field and now works at a number of public libraries and a college library near his current home in Northern California. In 2011, David embarked on a new venture as a career coach, conducting workshops to help librarians expand and enhance their careers. Most recently, David co-authored The Librarian's Skillbook: 51 Essential Career Skills for Information Professionals .
